LENOVO V570 CENTRINO WIMAX 6150 INSTALL
13-07-2013 intel r centrino r wireless-n + wimax 6150 will not install on windows 8 v570, 1, 54 am the intel site lists the windows 8 driver and it reports success after install. Tried every possible combination of uninstalling/reinstalling each of the two listings. To download sci drivers installer, follow this link. I just noticed that it also displays an Intel Centrino Wireless-N 6150 under 'Network adapters' so can't figure out what is going Device Manager still displays the error exclamation point next to the Intel Centrino Wireless-N + WiMAX 6150.
Cannot figure out what to do as the Fn key toggle does nothing and neither does flicking It is running, but shows the hardware radio switch as 'Off'. UPDATE: Still cannot get it to work but thought I should mention that I installed the Intel PROSet utility. Hopefully there is a fix for this because I'd like to continue using & testing 10 but this is now my only laptop so will have to switch back to 8 if I can't get wireless to work. Network adapter is listed as Intel Centrino Wireless-N + WiMAX 6150. Device Manager shows the wireless adapter and identifies it correctly (unfortunately Lenovo's site has no driver for Windows 10 or even Windows 8/8.1) but seems to have not finished installing correctly, can not find any updates. Not the case here, this laptop has not been taken apart and it worked fine before Win10. Nothing works. There is no effect when flicking the WiFi switch or Function key switch (EDIT: previously stated there was no switch, not what I meant), I know on some laptops if taken apart and put back together without being careful it's possible to get the Have tried disabling/enabling, uninstalling, But now I'm trying to connect via WiFi and the adapter has not installed correctly.
Had it connected through Ethernet for faster download of updates. I just installed Windows 10 Insider Preview on a Lenovo V570 laptop.
